Google is definitely Getting Serious!
There are lots and lots of computerized blogging software platforms to choose from. The basic idea with these programs is that you press a button and they send out spiders to crawl through the web looking for content that matches keywords that you have input into the program. Then they take the content they discover and set it on your site. You then get to experience the benefits of having a regularly updated website without having to do any of the true work of writing and making that content yourself. It might appear to be the best thing ever. Except for the fact that…
It seems like Google is gearing up for a considerable cracking down on all those sites that aren’t filled with original content. They are putting in place measures to check and determine if you have copied your content from another site. If your site has primarily copied and pulled materials, you will be in trouble. At the very minimum you will lose credibility in the eyes of Google. So what does this imply for people who are hoping to build an automated business?
Mostly it implies that business owners all over the Internet are going to have to learn how to work very hard or find the funds that will allow them to work for them. This is a great thing. It helps to protect those people who have done the hard work that goes into developing original content. It also makes certain that a person is running a legitimate business. If you are not very good at creating or crafting content for your website, you need to pay someone to create that content for you. Trust us when we say that that should be cash well spent.
The basic fact is that, on the internet, there are a huge number of web pages that are built off of someone else’s hard work. The sites then generate profits by making use of that plagiarized content and putting up lots of ads on every page. Sure this is a way to help make some extra cash, but if you get found doing it, you can count on getting in big trouble. Stealing content is kind of a huge deal, after all. Students have been expelled from Colleges all over the planet for not giving proper credit to a source. Think about what type of trouble you will be in if you do not credit your source properly or if you go so far as to steal another person’s intellectual property. Won’t it basically be simpler to just compose your own work?
The easy point is that, if you really want to earn money, you have to put in some work. What Google is attempting to do is prize hard work and punish those who take shortcuts and use other people’s work as their own. This is for the best. It can help to make things on the net a lot more fair for those who are really trying to help others and make a real living instead of rewarding people who use shoddy tactics to make a quick buck.
So, if you’re a web entrepreneur, you need to get ready to perform some real (and often hard) work. Google is definitely searching for a reason to take down individuals who aren’t willing to do real work!
